FAQ’S

GENERAL

  • Valeting usually refers to a quick clean — a vacuum, basic wash, and wipe-down. Detailing, on the other hand, is far more in-depth. It’s about restoring and protecting your car using specialist techniques and products to achieve a showroom-level finish inside and out. At Maestro, we exclusively offer detailing — no rushed jobs, just expert care.

  • Because we’re not a car wash — we’re a professional detailing service. Car washes use harsh acidic chemicals, dirty sponges, and aggressive machines that damage your paintwork, strip waxes, and create swirl marks after just one use.

At Maestro, we use safe, pH-balanced products, premium tools, and expert techniques designed to protect and preserve your car’s finish. You’re not just paying for a clean — you’re investing in your vehicle’s appearance, value, and longevity. The difference is visible, and it lasts.

  • We classify them in the following way;

Small: 2-seat Car or 3-door Hatchback

Medium: A Saloon or 5-door Hatchback

    Large: SUV, MPV or Estate

Extra Large: 7-seater, Vans or Pick-ups

  • Depending on the condition and size of the vehicle, a full detail can take between 3 to 6 hours, sometimes more if you’re adding extras like coatings or corrections. Quality takes time — we don't cut corners.

  • Yes, all our services are able to be carried out at your home. But we do always recommend any Paint Correction work be done at our workshop as it’s a temperature controlled, weather-proof environment that allows us to carry out our machine polishing and coating work.

  • Absolutely not. We’re 100% self-sufficient. We carry our own spotless water, power, and shade (where needed). All we need is safe access to your vehicle and we leave you, your water and your energy bills alone!

Sometimes our clients prefer our work to be a little quieter and offer their power and water to us but that is always the customers choice.

  • Most clients will book every 2 weeks to keep their vehicles looking freshly detailed but the minimum required is once a month. If you’ve had a Full Deep Clean with us, our maintenance plans are perfect for preserving that result without starting from scratch each time.

  • We can absolutely help, but this falls under specialist work. These situations require extra time and tools, so we’ll provide a custom quote. Just let us know in advance so we can plan properly.

  • Yes — we offer Fleet Maintenance Packages for companies that want to keep their vans, cars, or branded vehicles looking sharp. We can create a custom schedule that fits your team’s needs and ensure consistent results.

  • We accept all major cards, Apple Pay, and contactless via our Square. You can also pay securely when booking online.

COATINGS

  • Absolutely. These coatings form a long-lasting protective layer over your paintwork. They provide superior gloss, water beading, and resistance to dirt, UV rays, and chemicals. We offer 12-month, 3-year, and 5-year options — each ideal for different needs and budgets.

  • Because that’s all you realistically need. While some companies advertise 7 or even 10-year coatings, the truth is most people don’t keep a car for that long — and there’s little benefit in protecting a car you’re unlikely to own.

Our 12-month, 3-year, and 5-year coatings strike the perfect balance between protection, performance, and value. These coatings are proven, tested, and deliver outstanding durability without locking you into unnecessary expense or overhyped promises.

Plus, the resale value of your car benefits more from a well-maintained finish over time than a long-term coating no one can verify.

  • Single-stage correction involves one round of polishing to restore gloss and remove light imperfections — great for newer cars.

Two-stage correction includes an extra pass with a cutting compound to tackle deeper swirls, scratches, and oxidation — ideal for older or more neglected paint.

  • Both Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Ceramic Coatings serve different purposes and suit different needs.

PPF offers superior protection against physical damage like stone chips, making it ideal for track-driven or high-performance vehicles. However, for daily drivers, ceramic coatings just makes more sense — they enhance gloss, provide long-term protection from the elements, and are far easier and can be hundreds if not thousands of pounds cheaper to maintain or reapply if minor damage occurs.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on how you use your vehicle and your priorities for protection, maintenance, and aesthetics.

  • Factory finishes often lack the durable protection needed to keep your car looking new. Our New Car Protection packages lock in that showroom shine from day one with premium coatings that make maintenance easier and protect against environmental damage.
