1. Introduction

This Liability Waiver ("Waiver") outlines the terms under which Maestro ("we", "our", or "the Company") provides vehicle detailing and associated services to you ("you", "your", or "the Customer").

By booking a service with us—whether online, by phone, in person, or via social media—you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Liability Waiver. This waiver forms a legally binding part of our Terms and Conditions.

2. General Scope of Liability

While Maestro exercises the utmost care, skill, and attention to detail in every service performed, the Customer acknowledges and accepts that:

  • Vehicle detailing involves the use of water, cleaning chemicals, machinery, and tools that may interact with the condition and materials of the vehicle in different ways.

  • Outcomes can vary significantly depending on vehicle age, materials, condition, prior damage, aftermarket modifications, and weather exposure.

  • Our staff are trained to carry out services using industry-recognised techniques and products, but no process is without risk, especially on compromised vehicle surfaces.

3. Acceptance of Risk

By proceeding with a booking, you agree to accept the following risks:

  • Pre-existing damage, poor paintwork, oxidised surfaces, or fragile trim may worsen during cleaning or detailing.

  • Convertible roofs, aftermarket vinyl wraps, soft paint, plastic trims, and resprayed areas may respond unpredictably to detailing products or machines.

  • Allergies or sensitivities to cleaning products used in interior services must be disclosed beforehand. Failure to do so absolves the Company of related issues.

  • Damage caused by customer failure to disclose any of the above, or similar issues, is not the Company’s responsibility.

4. Limits of Company Liability

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Company shall not be held responsible for:

    • Any pre-existing damage, including swirls, scratches, dents, stains, rust, paint fade, and interior wear.

    • Any deterioration that becomes more visible as a result of cleaning or restoration (e.g., concealed scratches revealed after polishing).

    • Mechanical or electronic issues arising during or after cleaning, unless directly caused by proven negligence.

    • Damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Customer (e.g., failure to disclose ceramic coating, respray, etc.).

    • Any personal belongings left in the vehicle during service.

  • While we are insured and take every precaution to protect your vehicle, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided, unless negligence is proven under UK consumer law.

5. Photographic Records

  • The Company may take before-and-after photos for quality assurance and promotional purposes.

  • These may be used on social media, websites, or advertising unless you request otherwise in writing before your appointment.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Disclose any sensitive vehicle components or areas (e.g., loose trim, electrical faults, leaking seals, etc.).

  • Provide a safe, legal, and accessible location for the mobile service.

  • Remove all personal belongings, including valuables, prior to your appointment.

  • Ensure access to power and water (where necessary), or confirm if not available.

7. Exclusions and Insurance

  • This Waiver does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.

  • The Company holds relevant Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance to operate mobile detailing services in the UK.

  • Any claims for damage must be reported to us within 24 hours of the service being completed. Claims made outside of this period may not be considered valid.

8. Agreement to Waiver

By confirming your booking with Maestro, you:

  • Confirm that you have read and understood this Liability Waiver.

  • Acknowledge and accept the risks and limitations of our services.

  • Agree to hold Maestro harmless from any claims except in cases of proven negligence.
